Infinite Loop at Foster + Partners studio

30 September 2022 – 13 March 2023

Honoured and excited to install ‘Infinite Loop’ 2018 in the beautiful entrance to Foster + Partners studio in London. ‘Infinite Loop’ is part of our ‘Internet Giants‘ and ‘Infinite Loop‘ series of works that we first exhibited with Cristea Roberts Gallery in London in 2017 and Ikon Gallery, Birmingham in 2018

This art work is based on the vast Apple headquarters at Cupertino, California, designed by Foster + Partners. The building is ultra-modern but the design has an ancient underlying typology recalling the bold circular shape of structures like the Colosseum, the Pantheon and Stonehenge: vast enclosures that emphasise a cosmic and universal vision, lines of sight, order, access, power, and spectacle.

Suddenly seeing the building under construction we knew it said something about the world we are now in: like the cathedrals of the middle ages, the palaces and gardens of the enlightenment, or the factories and railway stations of the industrial revolution, it is era defining, the architecture of the internet age. The 2.8-million-square-foot main building is nearly a mile in circumference and powered by 100% renewable energy.
