Eclipse
1998
Wood, steel, lacquer
76 x 960 x 400cm
Eclipse is a sculpture with a dual focus which is simultaneously contemplative and participatory. Eclipse is also a demountable seminar structure which functions in two modes: “Conference” and “Auditorium”.
Eclipse extends the vocabulary of art by questioning it’s capacity as a catalyst for contemplation or function. Eclipse is meant to be looked at, and it is meant to be used.
