East Wing Biennial, The Courtauld Institute of Art

Coming Soon: Artificial Realities

From January 2016

The East Wing Biennial is a student-organised contemporary art exhibition within the East Wing of Somerset House, London. Showcasing up-and-coming as well as established artists from the UK and overseas, the 12th edition of the Biennial entitled ‘Artificial Realities’ will open in January 2016. Past exhibitors of the Biennial include Damien Hirst, Howard Hodgkin and Gilbert and George.

‘Artificial Realities’ aims to expose and challenge established realities through highlighting dynamic relationships between the real and the virtual. In exploring areas of the unknown, we shall use both the artworks and our personal curatorial tone to surprise and discomfort our audience.
